Role Purpose

The Senior Manager will be instrumental in producing official environment and land use statistics for NEOM, adhering to international standards.

This includes analyzing environmental data from diverse sources, conducting impact assessments, utilizing spatial statistical techniques, integrating various datasets, supporting policy development, and fostering innovative approaches within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Statistical Production

  • Production of Official Statistics: Generate environment and land use statistics for NEOM according to international standards.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize advanced statistical methods to analyze data from sources like remote sensing imagery, GIS, and surveys. Identify trends to guide environmental policies.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment: Evaluate the environmental impacts of human activities, projects, and policies by analyzing indicators such as air and water quality, biodiversity, and land degradation.
  • Spatial Analysis: Apply spatial statistical techniques to understand land use changes and ecosystem dynamics, supporting land use planning.
  • Data Integration: Work with interdisciplinary teams to integrate environmental data with socioeconomic, demographic, and health datasets.
  • Policy Support: Provide statistical expertise and actionable recommendations for policymakers, advocating for sustainable development.
  • Capacity Building: Promote innovative statistical approaches within the organization.

Background, Skills, and Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Minimum of eight years in environment and land use data analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (R, Python) and GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Strong knowledge of environmental data sources, including satellite imagery and geospatial datasets.
  • Experience with statistical modeling techniques (spatial regression, time series analysis, multivariate analysis).
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage projects.


  • Master’s or doctoral degree in statistics, environmental science, geography, or a related field.
