Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Field Testing and Commissioning will ensure the successful execution of testing and commissioning activities for mega and giga projects at NEOM.
The responsibilities include:
Planning and Coordination
- Developing Comprehensive Plans: The candidate will create and implement detailed testing and commissioning plans for various asset classes, including utilities and infrastructure.
- Stakeholder Coordination: They will coordinate with project stakeholders, managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient scheduling and execution of all activities.
- Maintaining Documentation: Ensuring all necessary documentation, including test procedures and commissioning plans, are current.
- Site Observations: Sharing periodic site observation reports to highlight issues affecting the T&C process proactively.
Testing and Commissioning
- Execution Oversight: Overseeing the execution of testing and commissioning activities on-site to verify that systems meet operational requirements and design specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Resolving issues that arise during the testing phase.
- Accurate Documentation: Documenting all test results and commissioning reports comprehensively.
Team Leadership
- Leadership and Mentorship: Providing leadership and mentorship to the team of testing and commissioning engineers and agents.
- Enhancing Multitasking: To maintain flexibility and expedite the T&C process, improving multitasking within the team.
- Technical Support: Offering technical guidance and support to team members.
Stakeholder Communication
- Effective Communication: Maintaining clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Regular Updates: Providing regular updates on testing and commissioning progress.
- Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving client concerns promptly and professionally.
Project Handover
- Operational Handover: Ensuring all systems are fully operational and handed over to the client or operations team.
- Training and Support: Ensure contractors provide necessary training and support to clients.
- Complete Documentation: Confirm that all commissioning documentation is complete and handed to the client.
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience in testing, commissioning, quality assurance, or related roles, preferably in large, complex organizations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of systems, equipment, and relevant industry standards.
- Project Management: Proficiency in project management software and methodologies.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Safety Protocols: Understanding and prioritizing safety protocols to prevent accidents during testing and commissioning.
Educational Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
