- Policy Review and Finalization: Participate in reviewing and finalizing the Planning Founding Law and draft planning regulations.
- Master Plan Governance: Develop and manage the governance systems for Master Plans and Regional Plans in NEOM.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ensure effective communication between the Planning Authority and master plan proponents, facilitating aligned implementation.
- Digital Planning Management: Lead the establishment of a digitalized planning management system, enhancing NEOM’s planning capabilities.
- Awareness and Training: Promote NEOM-wide awareness of available planning tools and guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
The role demands a strategic thinker with a strong international urban planning and conservation background.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A postgraduate degree in planning, economics, or management.
- At least 15 years of experience in urban planning or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of conservation zoning and management, including Special Management Zones, Wilderness Zones, Marine Sanctuary Zones, and Conservation Zones.
- Strong presentation and communication skills in English, with a working knowledge of Arabic being an advantage.
Conservation Expertise
A deep understanding of conservation zoning and management is essential, with specific experience in:
- Special Management Zones: Tailored approaches for protecting unique species and habitats.
