NEOM is seeking a visionary leader to join its Urban Planning sector as the Director of the Yachting Ecosystem. 

This position offers a unique chance to contribute to NEOM’s ambitious goal of becoming a global yachting destination, supported by world-class infrastructure and services.

Role Overview: The Director of the Yachting Ecosystem will report to the Executive Director of Islands and oversee a dedicated team within the Yachting division. 

This leadership role is pivotal in achieving NEOM’s vision through strategic objectives across 12 business areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Industry Leading Regulations: Develop and implement cutting-edge yachting regulations and processes.
2. Distinctive Yachting Infrastructure: Oversee the development of yacht service centers, fueling infrastructure, yacht clubs, marina operations, and yacht academies.
3. Finest Yachting Services: Enhance services including yacht concierge, management, chartering, and brokerage.
4. Global Yachting Community Hub: Establish NEOM as a hub for the yachting community through centers of excellence and yachting events.

Key Accountabilities and Activities

• Industry Expertise: Provide expert insights on industry trends, opportunities, and challenges to the executive leadership team.
• Networking and Relationships: Utilize a robust professional network to foster partnerships and business development opportunities.
• Strategic Guidance: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives for growth and sustainability.
• Independent Perspective: Offer objective perspectives and constructive feedback on key decisions and initiatives.
• Governance and Compliance: Uphold high standards of corporate governance and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential risks to the division’s reputation and financial stability.
• Financial Oversight: Analyze financial statements and budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility and long-term financial health.

• Industry Network & Relationships: A well-recognized profile in the yachting industry with a global network to facilitate partnerships and business development.
• Industry Expertise: Proven experience in yachting infrastructure, services, or community development.
• Strategic Expertise: Demonstrated success in strategic leadership and the ability to shape strategic direction at the executive level.
• Corporate Governance: Clear understanding of corporate governance principles and director responsibilities.
• Global Perspective: Strong cultural awareness and adaptability to various national cultures and local customs.

Communication and Stakeholders

The Director will represent the Yachting Ecosystem to internal stakeholders, including NEOM’s CEO and other sector heads, and external stakeholders like the Yachting Ecosystem Founding Board, NEOM Board, Saudi Red Sea Authority, and other government agencies.
