Responsibilities of the Health System Design Manager
Key responsibilities include supporting, developing, and delivering the division’s strategy through hypothesis development, scenario testing, and feasibility studies.
The manager will prepare reports and presentations for the annual planning and budgeting cycle, analyze and forecast health and wellbeing demands, and translate them into high-level requirements for assets, equipment, and digital infrastructure.
Additionally, the manager will adjust targets and implementation plans based on evolving master plans.
The role involves developing monitoring structures and processes for projects and activities, leading and delivering assigned projects independently, and proactively identifying risks while developing mitigation plans.
The manager will provide periodic progress reports on projects, highlighting challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies.
They will also contribute to developing scope of work documents and support internal and external communications activities.
Relationship and stakeholder management are other crucial aspects of this role.
The manager will participate in sector and cross-sector meetings, manage stakeholder feedback on issues, challenges, and unmet requirements, and develop action plans accordingly.
Acting as a role model for the sector, the manager will lead by example, supervising and coaching team members to perform at their best and promoting a high-performance working environment.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this exciting role, candidates should have 10 years of experience in Strategy/Consulting, Business Analysis, or Project Management, with at least five years in healthcare and project management.
A bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, applied mathematics, Finance/Economics, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or Medicine is required.
A Master’s Degree in Data or Health-related topics and a Diploma or Certificate in Project Management are beneficial.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Internally, the Health System Design Manager will collaborate with all Health Wellbeing and biotech divisions and other sectors and departments, such as Sport, Education, Food, Environment, Operations, Projects, and Technology and digital.
Externally, the manager will interact with Healthcare Regulatory Authorities worldwide, health services providers, and external consultants.
