NEOM, Saudi Arabia’s ambitious megaproject, is seeking an experienced IT PMO Manager to ensure the success of its visionary development.
This role is integral to overseeing and optimizing project outcomes, ensuring alignment with NEOM’s strategic objectives, and leading a team of project management professionals to deliver projects efficiently and within scope.
The IT PMO Manager reports directly to the Director of Program Management within the ePMO division of the Tonomus sector.
The role involves establishing effective project management practices and providing oversight and governance for the project portfolio.
The IT PMO Manager will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning by leading, mentoring, and managing a team of project management professionals.
Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
The IT PMO Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities, optimize resource allocation across projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes.
Developing and implementing project management policies, procedures, and documentation and conducting regular reviews and audits to monitor project performance and compliance are also crucial aspects of the role.
The successful candidate will be proficient in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches and possess a strong command of project management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, and ServiceNow.
Leadership, communication, and team management abilities are essential, along with an analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
Strategic thinking is also required to align project objectives with organizational goals, as well as expertise in change management to implement new methodologies and drive organizational change.
Qualifications for the role include a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or Engineering, with a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) being highly preferred.
The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatory, while additional certifications like Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) are advantageous.
The IT PMO Manager will regularly interact with NEOM management, various NEOM sectors, NEOM T&D PMO, government agencies, managed service providers, vendors, and suppliers.
Effective communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and manage expectations is a significant part of the role.
