Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
The Fleet Technical Manager will:
- Develop and Oversee Fleet Management Strategy: Implement processes ensuring safe and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure Vessel Maintenance: Maintain, certify, and prepare vessels to meet operational requirements and service commitments.
- Manage Technical Budget: Develop and monitor budgets for maintenance and dry dockings and control the costs of repairs, spare parts, fuel, and lube oil.
- Coordinate Maintenance and Upgrades: Plan and oversee regular servicing, dry dockings, and vessel upgrades.
- Implement Planned Maintenance Systems: Utilize preventative maintenance schedules, inventory management, and critical spare regimes.
- Conduct Surveys and Inspections: Ensure vessels are fully operational and meet classification requirements.
- Guide Newbuilding Strategy: Develop strategies to meet operational needs and 2030 net-zero targets.
- Promote Safety: Foster a safety culture by coaching and developing marine services crews.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should have formal qualifications as a Marine Chief Engineer, Naval Architect, or Mechanical Engineer.
They must possess solid shoreside experience as a Fleet Technical Manager in a related marine industry, with expertise in vessel maintenance, docking programs, and newbuild oversight.
Experience in decarbonization, digital tools, and alternative fuel applications is highly desirable.
Business Acumen and Project Management
Applicants should demonstrate strong business acumen and experience in capital and operating budgeting, fleet planning, and expenditure.

- External: Neom Authority, port and government stakeholders, classification societies, shipyards, OEM, and related technology developers
